CodeBuySell LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”) strives to provide a secure and reliable platform where vendors can list and sell digital products, including game source codes, assets, and other related digital resources. This Product Listing Policy outlines the types of products permitted on our platform, the responsibilities of vendors, and the enforcement actions for policy violations.

By listing products on CodeBuySell, vendors (“you,” “your”) agree to abide by this policy. Failure to comply may result in product removal, account suspension, or other enforcement actions as described below.

1. Acceptable Products for Listing

We only accept products that align with CodeBuySell’s quality standards and comply with copyright laws. Vendors may list the following types of products on our platform:

  1. Game Source Codes:
  • Original Unity and Unreal Engine source codes.
  • Custom-made game projects or prototypes created by the vendor.
  • Game templates, prefabs, and modules suitable for other developers.
  1. Game Assets and Resources:
  • Original 2D and 3D game assets created by the vendor.
  • Soundtracks, sound effects, and audio assets owned by the vendor.
  • Game animations, UI kits, and effects that are the vendor’s original work.
  1. Other Original Digital Products:
  • Plugins, scripts, shaders, and custom tools created by the vendor.
  • Assets for enhancing game development, including SDKs and APIs.

We reserve the right to evaluate each product on a case-by-case basis to ensure it meets our quality standards and aligns with our policy.

2. Prohibited Products and Practices

To maintain the integrity of our marketplace and protect intellectual property rights, CodeBuySell prohibits the following products and actions:

  1. Prohibited Listings:
  • Unauthorized Resales: Listing any product not originally created by the vendor or owned by the vendor is strictly prohibited.
  • Third-Party Assets without Authorization: Vendors may not upload assets, source codes, or digital goods sourced from other creators, platforms, or websites without explicit rights or licenses.
  • Unlicensed or Pirated Content: Any product that infringes upon the copyright, trademark, or other IP rights of third parties will be removed.
  1. Prohibited Practices:
  • Reselling Another Seller’s Product: Vendors may not resell products owned by another CodeBuySell vendor. Unauthorized resale will result in immediate removal and potential account suspension.
  • Misleading or Inaccurate Listings: Product descriptions and titles must accurately represent the product. Misleading content may result in listing removal.
  • Fraudulent or Harmful Products: Products that contain malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful components are strictly prohibited.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

By listing a product on CodeBuySell, vendors agree to the following responsibilities:

  1. Ownership and Authenticity:
  • Vendors must only upload products they own or have created themselves. Unauthorized resale or misuse of third-party IP is strictly prohibited.
  • Each vendor is responsible for ensuring their product is bug-free, fully functional, and accurately described in the listing. Vendors who list incomplete or faulty products are liable for customer complaints or disputes.
  1. Compliance with Intellectual Property Laws:
  • Vendors agree to comply with all applicable IP laws and regulations. CodeBuySell respects copyright and IP rights and expects vendors to do the same.
  • If a vendor lists a product that infringes on another’s IP, they bear sole responsibility for any legal actions, disputes, or penalties that may arise.
  1. Responsibility for Legal Actions:
  • Vendors acknowledge that they are solely responsible for any disputes, arbitrations, or legal actions involving their products. CodeBuySell will not be held liable for any such actions and reserves the right to remove any product involved in a legal dispute.

4. Preview Before Purchase Option

CodeBuySell offers a “Preview before Purchase” option for select digital products, particularly Unity or Unreal Engine source codes. Vendors who enable this option on their listings agree to the following:

  1. Product Integrity: Vendors certify that their product is fully functional, free of bugs, and is their original creation.
  2. Preview Arrangements: Vendors agree to preview their product to prospective buyers using a screen-sharing tool (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer). During these previews, vendors may show the game’s functionality and features but may not share any files until the purchase is finalized.
  3. Responsibility for Compliance: Vendors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their product. Any issues arising from incomplete or inaccurate previews will be handled according to our Dispute Resolution Policy.

5. CodeBuySell’s Rights and Enforcement Actions

CodeBuySell maintains the right to enforce this policy to protect the interests of our platform, vendors, and buyers. Our enforcement actions include, but are not limited to:

  1. Product Removal:
  • Any product found to violate this policy or applicable laws may be removed from our platform without prior notice.
  • If we receive a report of IP infringement or a vendor fails to comply with preview or ownership requirements, the product will be promptly removed.
  1. Strike System:
  • Vendors are subject to a three-strike system for policy violations:
    • First Strike: Warning and product removal.
    • Second Strike: Warning and temporary suspension.
    • Third Strike: Permanent suspension and potential account termination.
  • The strike system is applied at CodeBuySell’s discretion, and vendors with multiple violations may be subject to immediate termination.
  1. Account Suspension and Termination:
  • Repeated or severe violations of this policy may result in account suspension or termination, with all active listings removed. Suspended or terminated vendors may be prohibited from reapplying or re-listing products on CodeBuySell.

6. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

  1. Customer Disputes: Vendors are expected to resolve disputes with customers in a professional manner, following CodeBuySell’s guidelines. CodeBuySell will facilitate communication between parties when necessary but is not responsible for dispute outcomes.
  2. Legal Disputes: In the event of a legal dispute arising from a vendor’s product, the vendor agrees to handle all legal proceedings independently. CodeBuySell disclaims liability for any third-party claims related to vendor products.

7. Amendments to the Product Listing Policy

CodeBuySell reserves the right to amend this Product Listing Policy as necessary to reflect changes in legal requirements, platform functionality, or our business practices. Vendors will be notified of major updates to the policy, and it is the responsibility of each vendor to stay informed of any changes.
